1998 IDEC Report

It was supposed to be impossible to have a democratic education conference in the country of Ukraine. They said that people wouldn't come; that they'd be afraid of radiation and crime. Nevertheless, the Stork Family School, a parent cooperative in Vinnitsa, hosted the 6th Annual International Democratic Education Conference (IDEC) from July 8 to 15. The results were stunning, dramatic, and profound for everyone who came. I always had confidence that the Stork School would put on a wonderful conference, but they far exceeded my expectations.
